Moved On 03:27
I wasn't lying When I said that I loved you But I can't speak for time when Time won't wait for you I said that I'd miss you You went to the other Side of the world and I guess that I waited far too long Too long... Now there is an ocean Of difference between us But I always liked to Look at the interests Just people together Love at it's simplest But I lost desire I guess that I grew up and moved on Moved on...

When you work do you work the hours Or do you work the job? Riding a dead horse to my grave Worse things I can think of When you walk do you walk with purpose Or just to catch the day? I don't mind having no place to be But I'd like some company I exaggerate the negatives But that's just the way it feels I could learn to get perspective But it's just too fucking big
3.
Another Year 04:41
Don't ask me why I cannot say I've heard so many answers So many questions remain I'm not in love I long to be But there are so many people So little community Take another year Now how shall we celebrate? I don't need a thing All I want is someone I have to share This open bottle But good friends are hard to find And I won't drink on my own Take another year Now how shall we celebrate? I don't need a thing All I want is someone I have to share This open bottle But good friends are hard to find Good friends are hard to find Good friends are hard to find And I won't drink on my own Take another year Now how shall we celebrate? I don't need a thing All I want is someone

I change the sheets just to forget All the ones the ones who slept here You are not the only one you are not the You are not the only one I'd change the locks if I could And keep this house all to myself but I am not the only one I am not the I am not the only one Oh whatever happened to the day? I try to sing but I am disengaged There is a story behind every face But I don't care to know you at all I am in love with a shadow But that is all. I can't look you in the eye You are just another one of my desires You are just another one So meet me on the corner Just one last time. Smoke and laughter Freedom is the only thing that I can see And maybe I'm just reaching out for you So you'll reach out for me Oh whatever happened to the day? I try to sing but I am disengaged There is a story behind every face But I don't care to know you at all
5.
Don't Exist 03:29
It would be so nice to lay down With you in your bed in the day time But you don't exist at all Don't exist at all In my dreams I get by Waiting for a change What I don't realise is I'm changing all the time My hair is growing brittle and my skin is not so tight It would be so nice to lay down Without a thought of tomorrow Like I don't exist at all Don't exist at all
6.
Look 03:32
Mirrors in the sea Sky is it falling? It's the way you look It's the way you look Roses in the weeds Potent memories It's the way you look It's the way you look Was it meant to be? Am I incomplete? It's the way you look It's the way you look Inspiration dry Sweaty palms and thighs It's the way you look It's the way you look that'll change what you see
7.
Radio 05:26
The radio doesn't work no more I turn it on. The frequency is lost I'm feeling like I'm in that coastal town again Maybe I'll just put myself onto a train You thought I'd gone but I'll Never be done with you Just play it over Let's pretend I'm someone new The television keeps tuning out It's for the best. I'll get my notebook out It's been so long since I told the truth And now I don't care what that might mean to you You thought I'd gone but I'll Never be done with you Just play it over Let's pretend I'm someone new You thought I'd gone but I'll Never be done with you Just play it over Let's pretend I'm someone new You thought I'd gone but I'll Never be done with you Just turn me over Lets pretend I'm someone new
8.
Sometimes you just have to let the Paper tear apart People come and then they leave But that's ok. There's more to life than you or me Words that seem so out of reach Will I sing them tomorrow? Should I try? Should I even bother? Should I just go to sleep? Words that seem to slip away Well let them fade

about

We’re very excited to co-release Jess Locke’s beautiful new LP ‘Words That Seem To Slip Away' with our friends at Lesstalk Records.

Jess is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter who has been performing in living rooms, backyards, pubs and small bars across Australia for many years.

Her stripped back, melancholy brand of folk recalls a mix of Cat Power, Laura Marling and PJ Harvey.

We love this album, and hope you will too.
