Sydney’s Wartime Sweethearts have created a compelling piece of experimental pop with 'So Long Sparta'.
The album draws influence from Bjork and St. Vincent in its fusing of electronic beats with lush textures and beautiful harmonies.
There are also echoes of Ella Fitzgerald in the captivating vocal style, Dirty Projectors in the layered compositions, and Sufjan Stevens in the album’s cathartic content.
